CEO Announcement - Mountain View Regional Medical Center

Derrick Cuenca has accepted the CEO position at MountainView Regional Medical Center and Mountain View Medical Group.
The effective date will be forthcoming as he transfers from Granbury, Texas where he is the CEO of Lake Granbury Medical Center.
Derrick, a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, is an accomplished healthcare leader with more than 10 years of executive healthcare administrative experience coupled with 9 years of clinical experience as a surgical technician and supervisor. At Lake Granbury, he expanded service lines and physician practices, implemented practices that resulted in numerous TJC Quality certifications, led the hospital to a 4 Star CMS rating and Joint Commission Top Performer in Quality distinction and expanded points of patient access through development of Express Care clinics. From 1997 to 2006, Cuenca served in the United States Navy as a surgical tech and supervisor, including one tour as a medical corpsman in support of US Marines forward deployed in Iraq.
Derrick holds a master's degree in health care administration from Trinity University and a bachelor's degree in health care management from Southern Illinois University.
Derrick and his wife, Nicole, have two children, Tanner and Parker.
