Las Cruces is a beautiful and growing community, nestled in the Organ Mountains and mesas of southern New Mexico. With a population of just over 100,000, Las Cruces is the second largest city in the state, after Albuquerque. The city is large enough to offer a variety of housing, entertainment and recreational options, including a thriving arts scene, annual festivals, national parks and a wide range of outdoor activities.
Las Cruces experiences four mildly distinct seasons with up to 320 days of sunshine each year. You’ll find Las Cruces and the surrounding communities a wonderful place to raise a family, with good public & private schools and a growing business base with a focus on downtown redevelopment.
New Mexico State University (NMSU) is also located in Las Cruces and is one of the largest employers. Other major employers include the federal government on nearby White Sands Test Facility and White Sands Missile Range, and MountainView Regional Medical Center. Spaceport America is located 44 miles north of Las Cruces and has seen the completion of several successful manned, suborbital flights. The city is also the headquarters for Virgin Galactic, the world's first company to offer suborbital spaceflights.
Las Cruces is Located 45 minutes away from the El Paso International Airport, making travel to and from the area convenient.
