Coronary Artery Calcium Scoring
Cardiac calcium screening scorings are performed using a 64-slice CT scanner. Patients undergo a scan of the arteries surrounding the heart; no injections, stress tests or medication are necessary. The test evaluates the calcium buildup in the arteries surrounding the heart, thus determining the risk of heart disease.
Cardiac calcium scoring screenings are available for $199. You may pay for your screening at the time you schedule your appointment, or you may pay when you arrive to have your screening.
This screening test offers patients who have three or more risk factors the opportunity to be screened for heart disease.
Risk factors:
- Diabetes
- Family history of heart disease
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol

- Men older than 45
